Wind, wind go away was probably spoken by ALL the Treasure Coast Casters today! It was windy but, there were a few very nice fish caught. We had a smaller group fishing due the the up coming holiday and sickness. Due to the damage to the finger piers at Jaycee Park we had to do a last minute change in boat launch locations. We all meet at Capt. Joe's Bait & Tackle where each TCC fishing received 3 dozen free shrimp thanks to Moe - owner of Roosterfish! What a great way to start off your fishing trip with free shrimp! The TCC's left the docks right after 6:30am with a good breeze blowing. The wind did die down for a little while but by 8:30am it was BLOWING! After checking with most of the TCC's everyone wanted to stay out and fish.
Trace Meding brought back a very nice redfish - 4lb. 7oz. and a snapper. Andrew Evans had 2 snapper and a 8lb. 1oz. grouper. If grouper was on the fish list Andrew would have won biggest fish. DJ Markowski had a nice trout - 1lb. 11oz. and Shane Surrency had 2 snapper, black drum and a very nice redfish - 6lb. 11oz. Brennen Tessier, Dylora Kohler, Scott Smith and Billy Kidd all reported catching a good number of fish but nothing on the list. Capt. Charlie Conner said that Dylora lost a huge fish and he thought it was a red.
