Results of TCC Senior Division Inshore Fishing Tournament

April 13, 2014

Today we held our last inshore tournament of this season.  We meet at Jaycee Park and left the docks at 6:45am.  We did have a good bit of wind but it layed as the morning went on.  We had 9 fish on the Fish List - black drum, bluefish, flounder, mangrove snapper, redfish, sheepshead, snook, Spanish mackerel and trout.  We did keep snook at 50 points - still no snook weighed.  It did seem that catfish was the fish of the day.  I don't think we have ever had some many catfish caught during a tournament.  There were also a lot of ladyfish and short fish like sheepshead, black drum, mangrove snapper and flounder.

1st Place - Trace Meding - Centennial High - Port St. Lucie - 40 points

2nd Place - Dylora Kohler - Ft. Pierce Central - Ft. Pierce 25 points

3rd Place - no fish weighed

Biggest Fish of the tournament went to Dylora Kohler for her 4lb. 8oz. trout.  Along with her trophies and goodie bag she received a Bass Pro Shop back pack.  Trace received a gift card to the Fishing Center that was donated by Pat & Gwen, a goodie bag and a Bass Pro Shop Tervis Tumbler.  Items in the goodie bags were also donated by Bass Pro Shop in Port St. Lucie.

We will be announcing the top 10 Treasure Coast Casters that will be competing in May for the title of Treasure Coast Caster Of The Year!  For those of you that don't know - Dylora is the current Treasure Coast Caster of the Year and our first female to hold that title!

Thanks to Shane Surrency and Pat & Gwen for holding the banner!!

Our new season will start in June so if you have someone that would like to fish with us please have them e-mail me so we can get their paper work completed.

See you in May!
