Results of Treasure Coast Casters Junior Division Tournament

December 22, 2013   Nice sunny morning, 78 degrees, a slight wind and the fish were biting!  An extra added bonus was the pod of small dolphin that showed up towards the end of the tournament!!  We had 18 TCC's sign up for the tournament today however, one was missing the tournament due to an illness - get well Michael!!   Twenty minutes into the tournament and we had 2 fish come to the table back to back.  Brayden Adams was there first with a very nice 1lb. 12oz. trout.  As Tammy was weighing his fish Jordyn Beeten brought up a nice redfish and it also weighed 1lb. 12oz.  Dean Buxton was next with a jack and the next 4 fish were brought up by Thomas Parramore.  He had a lizardfish, a 1lb. 7oz. ladyfish, an flounder and a 1lb. 7oz. sheepshead.  All the fish were released.   1st place - Thomas Parramore - Fairlawn Elem.  1st grade- Ft. Pierce2nd place - Brayden Adams - F.K. Sweet - 2nd grade - Ft. Pierce3rd place - Jordyn Beeten - Liberty Baptist - 3rd grade - Ft. Pierce   Biggest Fish went to Brayden Adams.  In the event of a tie - the one that weighs in first is the winner.    We held a special drawing after the tournament as we do each December so each TCC Junior has a prize to take home along with their goodie bags and trophies. Dawson Kiernan won a spool of fishing line donated by the Fishing Center.  Jordyn Beeten got a Treasure Coast Casters t-shirt as did Colt Krischke.  Kaitlyn Ward won a $25 gift certificate to the Fishing Center that was donated by Pat & Gwen.  Thomas Parramore won a Yahama t-shirt  and Bryaden Adams got a Yahama hat - both donated by Yahama.  Justin McGaw won a $25 gift card to Walmarts that was donated by the store on Gatlin Blvd. in Port St. Lucie.  Dean Buxton won a pair of Hides that was donated by Coastal Angler Magazine.  Mackenzy Peavy won a tackle box with some tackle that was donated by a guest at the Dockside Inn and last but not least Rayley Sheltra won a rod & reel combo that was donated by Maxwell Higgins.  Maxwell has been with us for 8 years and sadly this is his last year as he will graduate high school this year.    Thank you to Tammy Ward for ALWAYS weighing the fish and to Capt. Joe Ward for closing the bait store so he could come and be grandpa and fish with Thomas.  Also, thank you to all of you for making Treasure Coast Casters the great organization that it is!!   Our next tournament for the Juniors will be on February 16, 2014.   Merry Christmas & Happy New Year!
