April 19, 2015
Today we held the last regular inshore tournament of the 2014 - 2015 season. Our next tournament will be the Fish Off in May for the Treasure Coast Caster of the Year.
The boats left Capt. Joe's Bait & Tackle this morning at 6:45am. There has been a good inshore bite all week on the fish that were on the list - black drum, bluefish, croakers, flounder, mangrove snapper, pompano, redfish, sheepshead, snook, Spanish mackerel and trout.
When the boats returned to the docks only 2 TCC's had fish to weigh in. Dylora Kohler had 2 trout, 2 snapper and a Spanish mackerel. Andrew Evans had a mangrove snapper. We had deceided to cut the tournament short by 1 hour because of the heat. Good thing we did as we had one TCC get over heated and not able to fish.
HIGH SCHOOL DIVISION
1st Place - Dylora Kohler - Ft. Pierce Central - Ft. Pierce - 90 points
No fish weighed for 2nd & 3rd place
MIDDLE SCHOOL DIVISION
1st Place - Andrew Evans - St. Anastasia - Ft. Pierce - 15 points

Biggest Fish went to Dylora Kohler for one of her trout that weighed in at 2lbs. 1oz. Along with her goodie bag full of items that were donated by MirrOLure and her trophies Dylora received a $25 gift card to the Fishing Center, a hat donated by Bass Pro Shop in Port St. Lucie and a gift card to the Fishing Center that was donated by Pat & Gwen.
Andrew received a $25 gift card to Bass Pro Shop in Port St. Lucie and his trophy and a goodie bag full of items donated by MirrOLure.
All of the TCC's that fished along with the boat volunteers received a Treasure Coast Casters fish rag that Pat & Gwen had made for us.
Thank you to Bass Pro Shop in Port St. Lucie, MirrOLure and Pat & Gwen. We could not do what we do without the support of these great businesses and people!
The list for the top 10 for the Fish Off for the Treasure Coast Caster of the Year will be out shortly.
See you in May!
